Book Group-September

We had an excellent meeting last night and a good discussion of Strength in What Remains, by Tracy Kidder. We all came away with a better understanding of the genocides in Rwanda and Burundi.

For September, we will be reading When Everything Changed: The Amazing Journey of American Women from 1960 to the Present, by Gail Collins. This book gets great reviews on Amazon.com and I’m looking forward to reading it. We will meet on Wednesday, September 22, 6:30 PM in the food court at Colony Mill Marketplace. I hope you will be able to join us.

Planning ahead – for October, we are going to read Empire of the Summer Moon: Quanah Parker & the Rise & Fall of the Comanches, the Most Powerful Indian Tribe in American History, by S.C. Gwynne.
