5×3 = Democratic Victory

The time for action has come.

As of today there are just 5 weeks left before the 2010 “Mid-Term” elections. NH is once again on the front-lines of our nation’s electoral battles with several key races being watched closely as they may effect the balance of power in both in Concord, and in Washington D.C.

Our formula for success is 5 x 3.

If each of us volunteer for five 3-hour shifts of direct voter contact over the next 5 weeks we will elect Democrats up and down the ticket to represent us in Concord and Washington D.C.. This will help to protect important majorities and insure the change we voted for in 2008 will continue.

Ann Kuster has built broad support across the state and across ideologically lines in what some have called “the best campaign ever”. Six Term Congressman Charlie Bass is making fun of Ann for being a “Bold Progressive”. We can’t afford to go back to 1995 and failed congressional oversight of Charlie Bass. Contact John Greene  to Volunteer for Ann Kuster

Paul Hodes would be a breath of fresh air in the US Senate. Kelly Ayotte would vote to repeal of much of the historic legislation we have passed in the past two years, and do everything she can to slow or stop progress on President Obama’s agenda for the next two. If you worked to elect President Obama, you should work even harder to elect Paul Hodes. We need him in the Senate, not another anti-choice Ideolog like Kelly Ayotte. Contact Cynthia Lander to Volunteer for Paul Hodes

John Lynch has served our state well over the past six years. His leadership has allowed steady progress towards a more progressive New Hampshire. John Stephen’s agenda? “Join the other states in the lawsuit to fight ObamaCare’s unfunded mandates and intrusion into inpidual rights”. Contact John Jarvis to Volunteer for John Lynch

Molly Kelly has worked hard for District 10 over the past 4 years providing leadership on Education and the Budget. District 10 is critical to maintaining a Democratic Majority in the Senate in this important redistricting year. Tom Eaton is (once again) attempting to regain the seat he lost in 2006. District 10 voters know we can’t go back, and must move forward to confront the issues facing our state. Contact Josh Sabato to Volunteer for Molly Kelly

The four campaigns noted above all have professional staffers working cooperatively out of our campaign office space on 67 Emerald St and are actively recruiting volunteers to fill phone-banks and canvasses.

Will you sign up with one of them to be a part of the equation for Democratic Victory on November 2nd?

We hope you will stop by the office later today for our “Office Warming Party” and perhaps sign up for a shift (or 5!) with the campaign of your choice. We are expecting a special guest and light appetizers will be served from 5:30-7:30.

5 weeks to go… Let’s get it started!

Press Release Eli Rivera

PRESS RELEASE
Rivera pledges to support Governor Lynch’s Pupil Safety and Violence Prevention Act

KEENE, NH September 16, 2010: On July 1, 2010 the Pupil Safety and Violence Prevention Act (RSA 193-F:2) took effect. The Act is a bullying and cyber-bullying legislation that ensures our children attend schools that are safe and secure. Eli Rivera, candidate for Cheshire County Sheriff, made a pledge to Governor John Lynch that upon his election as Cheshire County Sheriff he will make it a priority to reach out to law enforcement agencies and schools and provide support in the development of policies and educational program to help prevent bullying at our schools. Our children deserve to feel safe and enjoy a peaceful atmosphere at school.
Rivera believes the ACT provides the needed direction for the development of policies and prevention programs, making it a great opportunity for law enforcement agencies, school boards and parents to work together towards one common goal.

  • Ready, Fire, Aim
From the Globe: Republican House Leader Rep. D.J. Bettencourt of Salem introduced the House Republican agenda Thursday. Bettencourt said the House was focusing on changes to economic and education policy that would bring job creators to New Hampshire and put citizens back to work. Hot-button social issues like gun rights, immigration and labor laws were all […]
  • Marjorie Porter's House Floor Unanimous Consent
At the end of the day, by long House tradition, Unanimous Consent  is given to individual House members to talk about, well, pretty much anything.  Today, we had one member give a remembrance of a former member of the House who passed away recently.  Another member detailed some Civil War history.  In between, there was this remarkable speech, given by BlueH […]
