Please plan to join us for a planning and strategy session designed to enhance the grassroots efforts in our communities.

Anne Kuster, candidate for Congress, will be the kick-off speaker. Then Lucy Weber, State Representative from Walpole, will talk to us about redistricting. Following Lucy’s presentation, we will break up into smaller groups by community and district so that the town leaders can get acquainted and begin to plan for the 2012 election.

By working together and planning ahead, we can take back our state government, elect Annie Kuster to Congress, and reelect President Obama. Please plan to join us for this important Summit meeting.

Immediately following the Summit, the New Hampshire Democratic Party Platform Committee will hold a session soliciting input to the 2012 New Hampshire Democratic Party Platform. If you are interested, please plan to stay after the Summit to attend the Platform Meeting.

This is a special and timely screening of Alidra Solday’s film about Doris “Granny D” Haddock’s remarkable contribution to alerting the nation to the dangers to democracy of current practices of campaign finance. Its subject is her 14 month walk, at the age of 90, from Los Angeles to Washington DC, and her passion and inspiration in making change happen. A longtime resident of Dublin and well-known locally and nationally for her passion and inspiration in doing and educating, this film offers opportunity for inspiration to engage her solid good-sense of fundamental principles in the public arena – in this election year!

*Bike for Obama** is taking to the streets in support of*

*President Barack Obama’s re-election.*

*Bike For Obama* is an ambitious 8 month, 9,000 mile bike ride to each of the lower 48 states in support of President Obama. With the goal of encouraging and inspiring others to participate in the Obama re-election campaign as well, *Bike for Obama* will be volunteering in each state visited and staying with local democrats the whole way.**

In the last U.S. presidential election Barak Obama was elected with the help of an unprecedented number of volunteers working at the grassroots level for their candidate and their country. With the impressive level of active participation and enthusiasm generated in 2008 in mind, experienced cycle tourer and dedicated Democrat Ellery Althaus conceived of *Bike For Obama* after returning home from a 10,000 mile bicycle tour across Asia and Europe. While doing that ride Althaus “realized that bike touring was such a great way of connecting with people that it could be more than just an adventure, it could be a way of getting involved as well… an organizational tool.”

The core of *Bike for Obama *is connecting with Democrats nationally both by biking from state to state and volunteering for the President’s campaign along the way. Throughout the country Bike for Obama will be:

The Kickoff Rally will be a ride from Brattleboro to Keene on Saturday March 17th at 10am at Pliny Park. Althaus will attend a rally before riding with friends, family and local Democrats to Keene NH where they will meet more local Democrats for a 1pm canvas event in Keene, meeting at Central Square. BIKE FOR OBAMA; Come join Bike For Obama for a canvas in downtown Keene. Bike For Obama is a grassroots bike tour in support of the President. Ellery Althaus is riding through each of the lower 48 states volunteering for the Obama campaign in each state. His first day’s ride is starting March 17th at 10am at Pliny Park, Brattleboro, VT and ending in Keene, NH that afternoon, anyone is welcome to come out and ride or volunteer.
